Well, the Helios is a copy of the Carl Zeiss Biotar 58mm Back in the end of World War II, the Russians occupied East Germany A few crafty guys went into the Zeiss factory and stole the Biotar formulaI had a Helios 442 58mm f2 vintage lens attached to my Sony A6000 This is shot at f2 and the lovely bokeh bubbles are from LED lights that sit inside a vintage candle lantern The Helios lens is renowned for it's wonderful bokeh Probably one of my favourite lenses I am sure you agree the bokeh is fabulous as indeed are the two little birdsHad 2 good turns of luck recently, and found myself holding 2 astonishingly good and cheap examples of a Biotar 58mm f2 silver (late 50s), and a Helios 442 58mm f2 (an earlier version with a serial starting with a single 0 (so No 0xxxxx)
